
Katy ISD returns for the 2022-23 school year on Aug. 17, which means there’s less than a month of summer left. Time is running out to experience some of Katy’s best summer destinations. Check out our summer “bucket list” to make sure you’ve hit all the top destinations before the season ends.
One of the largest water parks in Texas, Typhoon Texas is a quintessential summer destination. The park, which reopened April 16, features a 27,000-square-foot wave pool and 33 slides. With water slides, a lazy river, live entertainment, a wave pool, private cabana and dining and drink options, Typhoon Texas is a good attraction for a full day of fun.

Named for the iconic Andretti racing family, the 90,000 square foot facility is packed with activities focused around racing and gaming.
